Established in 1988 as a small business, SESI’s fundamental strength is taking basic scientific concepts through engineering prototypes to full rate production through a lean enterprise approach. SESI possesses a full range of science and engineering talent, hardware and software technologies and the requisite flexible production capabilities enabling rapid development of sensor products for global customers, both commercial and government.

SESI Headquarters and R&D Laboratory are located in Columbia, MD in a state of the art 32,000 sq. ft. facility. Manufacturing Operations are located in Huntsville, AL, occupying 279,000 sq. ft. SESI also has facilities in Radcliff, KY and Warner Robins, GA.

ISO 9001:2000 and SAE AS9100 Registered

SESI is fully ISO 9001:2000 and SAE AS9100 registered. ISO 9001:2000 represents a model for Quality Assurance in Design, Development, Production, Installation and Servicing. SAE AS9100 represents a well-defined Quality System for the design, fabrication and assembly of devices for aircraft, weapon systems and commercial applications.

Preferred Supplier Status

SESI has also been awarded the preferred supplier certification from Boeing Corporation, Northrup Grumman, and L3 Communications. The preferred supplier certification is an achievement based on SESI meeting an overall Bronze level certification for Business Processes, Silver Level for Delivery performance and bronze level for SPC.
